Information Meeting, League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters of Tuscarawas County invites all voters registered in Tuscarawas County to an information session on April 16 at First Baptist Church located at 140 Regent Street in Dover. The event starts at 6 p.m. Topics covered will include the EdChoice program, which provided over $1 billion in private school vouchers during the 2024-2025 school year while funding for public schools has been drastically cut; the SAVE America Act and what it will mean for voters of the U.S. Senate passes it; and the proposed earned income tax that New Philadelphia City Schools has placed on the May ballot. Founded in 1920, League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization working to protect voting rights and ensure that everyone is represented in our democracy. LWV empowers voters through advocacy and education at the local, state, and national levels.
