Boots on the Trial and the Ornery Vets Collective Benefit Concert

Boots on the Trial and the Ornery Vets Collective are hosting a benefit concert on May 9th, 2026. The event will be held at the Southeast Ohio History Center in Athens Ohio. Jorma Kaukonen with special guest John Hurlbut are the headliners. Bruce Dalzell and Myron Hart will also be playing. There will also be a silent auction, and light refreshments will be provided. The doors will open at 4:30 PM and the show starts at 6:00 PM. All proceeds will go to Boots on the Trail and the Ornery Vets Collective to assist in their efforts to help more Veterans. Boots on the Trail provides free ecotherapy to fellow Veterans in a unique way. They cut brush and remove trees on trails in State Parks and National forests. They do this with hand tools to promote conversation and camaraderie. Such activities replace the community, structure and purpose they lost when Veterans left the Service.
