Planes, trains, and automobiles will be on display this weekend as part of Ohio’s celebrations surrounding transportation.
This is in conjunction with the America 250th anniversary and the signature Buckeye Train will pull into the Dennison Depot on both days. The state’s governor is expected to come in on Sunday’s train.
Depot Museum Director Wendy Zucal says they anticipate thousands of visitors for the free event.
“All of Center Street into Uhrichsville up to Dawson Street will be used. it will be closed off. We’ll have food trucks, entertainment, a beer garden, there’s a kids zone, veterans village, artist avenue, tourism hub, a history hub.”
The event runs Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Vendor and parking maps are available on the Dennison Depot’s Facebook page.
“Free parking on the street but there will be designated parking spots…we’ve matched a parking spot with a designated group…and they’ve all agreed to $10 flat fee. We’ll also have buses from Claymont doing pickups and drop offs on a loop.”
Both days will include the Buckeye Train pulling in around noon, along with a car show, vintage aircraft flyovers, and more.
