Walmart in New Philadelphia was evacuated for about two hours on Wednesday after a bomb threat was found scrawled in a women’s restroom.
Police and a bomb-detection K9 from Canton conducted a sweep of the store and found nothing suspicious.
The report came in at 10:10 a.m., and the store was back open just after noon. Police say the message referencing a bomb was found written on the wall of the handicap-accessible stall in the women’s restroom.
They are still investigating and ask anyone with information to call the New Philadelphia Police Department.
