M. Sue Neal, 90, of Newcomerstown, passed away April 28, 2026, in her home. She was born October 31, 1935 in Gnadenhutten, a daughter of the late Selvanus Kohl and Gladys (Stocker) Kohl. Sue was a 1953 graduate of Newcomerstown High School and retired from Empire Plastics in Newcomerstown.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband Russell Neal; her sister, Jean Wilkin; brother, Don Kohl; daughter Jayne Spring; and grandsons, Larry “Skeez” Neal and Hunter Bliss.
Her favorite things to do were crocheting, puzzles, sitting on her porches with her flowers and watching her soaps. She was affectionately known as “Grandma Neal” to so many over the years. She will be remembered and loved by all who knew her.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Susan Bliss; sons, Thayne and Duane Neal; grandchildren, Dawn, Josh, Mandy, Jerry, Nicole, Bryan, Devin, and Billy. Numerous great and great-great grandchildren complete the family.
Services for Sue will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 1 pm at Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 to 1.
