
Ohio’s US Congressman Michael Rulli was the guest speaker during the Tuscarawas County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day event.
The 6th District politician spoke on some legislative work.

“Right now, we’re working on the farm bill. We haven’t’ had a new bill since 2018. Our oats, soy, and wheat is being projected cost from 2018.”
Rulli also noted bills addressing nursing and shortages in that career field.
“Another bill we call the Halo Act allows a 15-circumference area of the ICE officer and these protestors can’t come attack the officers, so that’s what the Halo Act is.”
He also mentioned the Big Beautiful Bill. Rulli also recounted his experience on April 25th’s White House Correspondents Association dinner and the shooting incident.
Meanwhile, the local political party auctioned off several items like a cast replica of the bicentennial bell and a special made Warther knife, and the total raised was several thousand dollars.
