Uhrichsville council took immediate action to keep e-bikes and scooters off the grass at the park following a visitor raised grave concerns.
Chris, identified as being with the Little League, asked council to do something because of several recent incidents.
“We had a kid splatter on the back of the concession stand the other night on a bike. We had a woman hit on the walking path, she was running. I need them bikes banned from the park. They’re coming between the score board and the swimming pool up that grass.”
Mayor Jim Zucal asked council to make a motion.
“If council’s willing to ban effectively immediately, we can talk to the police chief, to ban electric bikes and scooters within the park area.”
It was unanimously passed to ban electric bicycles and e-scooters on the grass at the Uhrichsville Park.
