Mark William Rogers – May 24, 2026

Mark William Rogers, 70, of Freeport, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio, after a long period of declining health. Born March 10, 1956 in Barnesville, Ohio, he was a son of the late Joseph Marion and Ruby Anna (née Sommer) Rogers.

Mark was a graduate of Lakeland High School in 1975 and spent his life working alongside his family on their dairy farm. He was a member of Piedmont Methodist Church. Mark loved listening to music and had many happy times going out to eat in Amish Country with his family.

He is survived by his brother, Phillip (Ruth) Rogers; sister, Ruth Rogers; nephews, Phillip Rogers Jr., Roy Rogers, Terry (Jennifer) Brock, Jeremy (Lisa) Brock, Jason (Stephanie) Brock, and Dalton (Samantha) Brock; nieces, Rose (Brian) Law, Kathy (Billy) Zimmerman, and Crystal (Joe) Newell; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph M. Rogers Jr. and John E. Rogers; sister, Esther Rogers; and sisters-in-law, Betty Rogers and Virginia Rogers.

Pastor Jon Little will officiate a 1:00 p.m. funeral on Friday, May 29, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, Ohio. Interment will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery in Freeport, Ohio. Mark’s family will receive callers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service. Those wishing to honor Mark’s memory are encouraged to do so by a memorial donation to the Salvation Army.
