The City of Uhrichsville continues to see clean-up efforts and that includes taking down delipidated structures.
Code Enforcement Officer James Myers says the latest move is a house in the 200 block of McConnell Street.
“Fire department is going to train with it a subsequently take it down. While they have the equipment here, we’re trying to fast track a house on Jay Street to have it torn down at a significantly cheaper cost to us.”
The live fire training will occur Saturday, June 13th between 8am and 4pm with departments from Uhrichsville, Dennison, New Philadelphia, and Arrowhead.
Residents may see smoke on the city’s west side and an increased firefighter presence.
