Victoria L. Cunningham, 67, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, June 15, 2026.
Born on March 19, 1959, to the late Robert S. and Lucille E. (Beavers) Bucher, she grew up in New Philadelphia, Ohio, attending New Philadelphia First Church of the Nazarene where she met her husband, Michael Cunningham in the Youth Group. On May 2, 1981, they became husband and wife and recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Together they served in various areas in the First Church of the Nazarene, and she was always willing to help anyone in need. She was a bright spot in many people’s lives, and she was a wonderful mother. She would always say, “fear not” and would take time to pray for you.
Not only did she juggle various things at once, she was also President of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for consecutive running terms. She was a woman who did it all until she couldn’t and was a fighter until the very end.
Victoria is survived by her husband and best friend of 45 years, Michael. She is also survived by her daughter, Amanda (Matthew) Archer; grandchildren, Paul and Emerson (Emmie) Archer; sister, Robin (Doug) Gibbs; and brother, Terry Bucher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Veronica Cunningham; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Bucher and Pam Cunningham.
Friends and family are invited for visitation on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10 AM to Noon at the New Philadelphia First Church of the Nazarene where the service will follow at Noon. Pastor Matthew Archer will officiate. Internment will take place at Fair Street Cemetery on Fair Avenue NE in New Philadelphia.
Memorials contributions in Victoria’s name may be sent to Ohio’s Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663 or the New Philadelphia First Church of the Nazarene, 233 Fair Ave. NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
