Ashley N. Gantz, age 41, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in her Dellroy area residence.
She was born May 3, 1985, in Alliance, Ohio and was the daughter of Jennifer (Gantz) Campbell of the residence. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents Robert, Sr. and Ruby E. Gantz.
She lived at their Clay Road residence for most of her life. She attended Carrollton High School and received her GED in 2008. She was a loving and attentive mother who felt the tremendous joy of having her wonderful daughter Ella. She loved her daughter and shared with her the experiences of playing games, and was involved in fun activities like Diamond Art, Scratch Art and building blocks. She enjoyed traveling with her family. Her sister Brittanie occupied a very special spot in her life. Together, they ran errands every day, shared bonfires and drinking, played games, sat outside on the porch, and shopped, traveled, and enjoyed walking together. They commonly shared the responsibilities of taking care of their pets. She always showed up to support Brittanie when she was in the band. Ashley was very close to her Grandpa Robert Gantz (Papal). Even through the turbulent times, she remained by her family’s side. She was very helpful making repairs around the house. She liked cooking outside on the grill. Her additional hobbies included shopping at Goodwill, collecting purses, Crochet and other yarn crafting, drinking around a bonfire, eating fast food, and she regularly engaged in chats with her friends. She shared her life experiences in her diaries. Ashley liked to change her hairstyle and hair colors frequently to express her personality. She visited the Circle K store frequently for polar pops. She was fond of table games, particularly UNO, Phase-10 and SKIPBO. She enjoyed watching Disney movies and grew up watching Denver The Last Dinosaur, and other old cartoons. Her favorite Anime series were Sailor Moon and Inuyasha. Her favorite movies included “Blood Sport “Kickboxer” and “Rock-a-Doodle”. Some of her favorite music that she liked to listen to included BTS, Tom Petty, and Loretta Lynn. She was interested in watching drag queen RuPaul, and the Steve Wilko show. She always waited for Mark Johnson’s weather forecast each day. Her favorite food was roast beef noodles and often got donuts with fluffs and butterscotch icing. She liked to go to Little Caesars and get ICB with garlic butter sauce, and liked cheesecake (New York Style) and dirt pudding, Herr’s honey cheese chips and Barbecue Frito’s Twists and Welch’s fruit snacks, Peter Pan honey roasted peanut butter spread and Greek yogurt. Her favorite flowers were Marigolds and Pansies. She showed immense love towards her pets Gizmo, Sweety, DJ and Princess, and she took special care of her Betta tropical fish. She always remembered her first love J.P. Dare, and often spoke about him very fondly.
In addition to her mother Jennifer Campbell, she is survived by her daughter, Ella Cutlip of the residence, a sister, Mrs. Brittanie (Ashutosh) Pradhan of Dellroy, a brother, Richard (Marissa) Campbell, Jr. of Sherrodsville, OH, nieces and nephews Abigail, Eleanor, Haden, Emmett and Meadow Campbell, and a half-sister and a half-brother, and aunt and uncle in Coshocton OH.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Monday, June 22, 2026, in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Milo Baker officiating. Calling hours will be held Monday from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Interment of her ashes at a later date will follow in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens.
