State Fair the musical is opening Saturday night at the Trumpet in the Land outdoor theatre.
The Rogers and Hammerstein production follows a family as they set out on a three-day adventure to the Iowa State Fair, where blue ribbons are the dream while romance and heartbreak happens.
Theater Manager Margaret Bonamico says the show will run five nights.
“State Fair opens on July 18th and then plays July 24th, August 1st, 7th, and 15th.”
The musical starts at 7:30pm. Adults tickets are $25, seniors get in for $20, and then it’s $18 and $10 for youth and children, respectively.
