The Dennison Railroad Depot Museum is looking for nominations for Woman of the Year.
The award is named after Lucille Nussdorfer, who founded the servicemen’s canteen during World War II and served 1.3 million soldiers.
Marketing and Brand Manager Taylur Cunningham says applications are being accepted for the 2026 award.
“We do have the applications to nominate someone for the Lucille Nussdorfer award. That is to recognize a woman in Tuscarawas County for making an impact through significant volunteerism.”
This is open to all Tuscarawas County women. The application is available by emailing taylurc@dennisondepot.org or by visiting the museum or the Tuscarawas Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
An award committee will review all nominations and narrow it down to the “Fab Five”. They will be invited to a banquet where the award winner will be announced.
Last year’s recipient was Roxie Long for her significant impact at the Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County.
