A 60-year-old of Newcomerstown died in a single vehicle accident.
According to the New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Tuesday crash, at 5pm, was in the southbound lanes of Interstate 77, in Jefferson Township.
A 2006 Buick was pulling a trailer when the car went off the right side and hit an embankment.
The driver, Michael Carr, was pronounced deceased on scene. OSP notes a seat belt was not in use at the time.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the ongoing investigation.
