A new chapter is underway at Tuscarawas Central Catholic.
Columbus Bishop Earl Fernandes joined Building on Excellence campaign committee members, school leaders, supporters, and the TCC community Thursday for the groundbreaking of the school’s new multi-million-dollar athletic Fieldhouse and Community Center.
Building on Excellence committee co-chair Mike Fredericks thanked those who helped make the project possible.
TCC Principal Jennifer Calvo said the new facility will serve as a gathering space for the school and the wider community.
The project will include a community center, a weight room, and a gymnasium with two full-size basketball courts, a walking track, pickleball courts, a golf simulator, batting cages, a weight room, and workout space.
Calvo said the goal is to have construction finished on the Fieldhouse and Community Center by next fall.
