The Dover First Moravian Church is again making sure Tuscarawas County kids have shoes on their feet this fall.
The church will serve a complete Italian meal on Sunday to support Sole Purpose. In past years, kids and teens at the church have served breakfast at the church to benefit the nonprofit that buys shoes for area school children in need. Organizer Janie Miller says this year the kids will help serve pasta, bread sticks, salad, drinks and ice cream on Sunday starting at 11:15 a.m.
There isn’t a set price. The church will accept free will donations for Sole Purpose, which was started by the church’s young members in 2011.
Dover First Moravian Church is at 319 North Walnut Street in downtown Dover.
