The newly formed Tuscarawas County Republican Women’s group is giving voters a chance to learn more about the party members running for office this fall.
Group president Cathy Harris says they are hosting a Meet the Candidates Night event on Tuesday, September 1st from 5 to 8 p.m. at El Hefe Restaurant in Dover.
Harris says attendees will hear from Republican candidates—or their representatives—running for federal, state, judicial and county offices.
Each candidate will have about five minutes to explain why they’re running, followed by a question-and-answer session. The event will give residents a chance to learn where the candidates stand on issues including property taxes, data centers, voter fraud and more.
The Tuscarawas County Republican Women’s Meet the Candidates Night is free and open to everyone.
The event will include appetizers and a drink ticket for each attendee.
