Lynora Mae Kieffer Anderson, of Dover, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Gables of Canton, at age 100, after having lived a remarkable century.

Lynora was born on April 15, 1926, to the late Emma (Linton) and Ralph Lattimer in New Floodwood, Ohio. She held numerous jobs throughout her life including Elder Beerman, Montgomery Wards, and the Somerdale Post Office. She retired from Alsco in Sugarcreek after many years of service to the company. Her most important job was raising four wonderful children.

On August 19, 1946, Lynora married Vern Kieffer, and the two shared 45 years of marriage before his passing on December 14, 1991. She then went on to marry James Anderson, who passed on October 28, 1999.

Lynora was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia. She spent many years teaching Sunday School. She also loved crocheting and coloring.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Lyonra’s sister, Aliene Janes; brother, Elza Lattimer; son-in-law, Dan Jones; and daughter in-law, Alice Kieffer preceded her in death.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Tanya (Arden) Moore of Bolivar, Kay Jones of Zoarville, Vern (Gloria) Kieffer of Strasburg, and Danny Kieffer (Laura) of Florida; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 am with Pastor Doug Kilchenman officiating at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover. The family will greet guests one hour prior to the start of service. Following the funeral service, the family will be hosting a luncheon at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Interment will be at the New Cumberland Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Those wishing may share an online condolence by visiting the funeral home’s webpage.
