Claymont School officials have announced the auction date for the former intermediate school and the Northside Gym in Dennison.
The two Claymont City Schools properties will be offered for sale at a live public real estate auction on Wednesday, October 21st at 6 p.m. Claymont closed the school after the 2025-26 school year due to declining enrollment and rising building costs.
The district moved the third-, fourth- and fifth-graders to other buildings. Officials hope the funding falls into place to allow them to add onto Claymont High School.
The school and gym in Dennison will be open for inspection on October 14th and 18th in the two weeks prior to the auction.
