On Sunday, a former Dennison councilman and mayor passed away at the age of 69.

The Village posted the loss of Jeffrey Dryden, thanking him for his service to the village and residents.

Dryden graduated in 1975 from Claymont High School and then worked for 28 years as a machine operator, from September 1975 to September 2013, at Penn Central, Conrail, and Norfolk Southern.

He was elected Dennison mayor from 2016 to 2020. Dryden was also a former President of Dennison Little League, and a member of the Uhrichsville Moose, Dennison Eagles, and American Italian Club.

Dryden is survived by his wife, Mitzi, three children, siblings, grandchildren, and other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., on this Wednesday, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home in Uhrichsville. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7, at the funeral home. The family would like everyone to wear any Ohio Sports Team attire.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dennison Fire Department and the Dennison Police K-9 Fund.
