The Tuscarawas Philharmonic Orchestra will start its 91st season this weekend with a free concert at Tuscora Park.
“Pops in the Park” on Sunday at 7 is part of the RTY Summer Showcase series.
Philharmonic Executive Director Emma Hinkle says the orchestra concert will include tunes familiar to children and adults with songs from Disney’s Frozen and the Raiders March from the Indian Jones movies.
This will be the first concert for the orchestra’s new music director and conductor – Dr. Scott MacPherson. He steps into the lead role from the assistant conductor position that he had held since 2023.
Hinkle says the Philharmonic is always looking for talented musicians for the orchestra and singers for the adult and children’s choruses.
