Danny Karl Leishman, 77, passed away on September 6, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. He was born July 31, 1949, in Alliance, Ohio, to the late Lewis Karl Leishman and Patsy Jane (Hartman) Leishman.
Following graduation, Danny married his wife of 56 years, Barbara C. (Robinson) Leishman. After their marriage, the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where Danny was stationed while serving in the United States Air Force. Following his discharge, they returned to Ohio, where Danny worked alongside his father and brothers in his father’s coal business. He later worked for Lowe’s until his retirement.
Danny had a lifelong love of music, especially playing the guitar. In his younger years, he played in several bands and was proud to have been a winner of the Claymont Battle of the Bands many years ago. He also enjoyed football.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, Danny is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Lewis and her partner, Steven Young; grandchildren, Madison (Matthew) Foote and their children, Sophia and Hudson Foote, all of Toledo, Kaley Lewis of New Philadelphia, and Ben Lewis of New Philadelphia. He is also survived by his brother, Randy (Karen) Leishman, sister, Lori (Rolland) Cooper and sister-in-law, Karen Leishman.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Patsy Leishman, and his brother, David Leishman.
