Ronald Harold Miller, 43, passed away Wednesday, September 2, from an unknown heart defect. Ron was born May 13, 1983, to Carla Dowdle and the late Ronald Miller.

Ron walked a unique path in life. Though he faced lifelong mental health challenges, his life was defined by quiet moments and his deep love for his family. He had a wicked sense of humor and a laugh like no other. He enjoyed watching boxing and knew everything there was to know about Sonny Liston, his favorite boxer of all time. He also found happiness in watching his favorite movies.

He will be sadly missed by his mother, who was by his side since birth, Carla “Miller” Dowdle of New Philadelphia, Ohio; his grandparents, Betty “Bob” McKee of Canton, Ohio; his brother, Lance Dowdle, and his fiancée, Victoria Ricedorf, of Massillon, Ohio; his aunt, Connie “Barry” King of Strasburg, Ohio; his uncle, Craig “Cathy” McKee of Tampa, Florida; his great-aunt, Jeri Worklin of Federal Way, Washington; his sister, Darcy Dowdle “partner Jeremy Rook”; his nephews, Hayden Pritz and Greyson Clark; his aunt, Marcia “John” Spoto of Rochester, New York; his aunt, Jeannie “Henry” Kremers of Rochester, New York; his uncle, Steve “Lori” Miller of Auburn, New York; his uncle, Chris Miller of Auburn, New York; and many cousins in the Auburn, New York, area.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Miller; his grandparents, Lance Cramer, and Janet and Harold Miller; and his great-grandparents, David and Alice Cramer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
