Tuscarawas County Democrats are gathering tonight for a meet‑the‑candidate social hour in New Philadelphia.
Volunteer Karen Izzi Gallagher says the Early Voting Kickoff runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Pilot Brewhouse, where residents can talk one‑on‑one with candidates on this year’s ballot. She says they won’t be giving speeches. The event is free and open to the public.
Gallagher says organizers will also walk voters through how to register and cast a ballot early ahead of the November election. The registration deadline is October 5th.
Candidates — or their representatives — for local and statewide offices are expected to attend, giving voters a relaxed way to ask questions before heading to the polls. The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is needed.
