Strasburg High School students have had an opportunity to hear about leadership, character, and perseverance straight from a Pro Football Hall of Famer.
Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Anthony Muñoz recently visited the school as part of the Kempthorn Pro Football Hall of Fame Values for Life Program.
Superintendent Vince Lindsey says Muñoz spoke to students in grades nine through 12, drawing on his experiences in high school, college and the NFL, as well as lessons he’s learned throughout his life.
Lindsey says the presentation wasn’t really about football, but about setting goals, developing strong values, working with others, and continuing to grow. He says students were attentive and engaged throughout the program, and he was particularly impressed by Muñoz’s ability to connect with them.
Students then took part in breakout sessions focused on goal setting, Hall of Fame values, leadership and teamwork, and character development.
