Patricia L. Naylor, age 80, of Sherrodsville, Ohio, died suddenly Saturday evening, October 10, 2026, after becoming ill in her home.
She was born April 20, 1946, in Canton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Arthur and Margaret K. (Borden) Boylan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Bob Boylan.
She retired as an Investment Banker for Skybank Financial Services and also worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company. She was raised in the Baxter’s Ridge region of Harrison Township, Carroll County. Pat and her husband Paul enjoyed spending their winters together in Leesburg, Florida. She was fond of cooking, spending time in her garden and adored her family of cats. Her large family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a blessing in her life.
She is survived by her husband Paul E. Naylor, whom she married July 16, 1995, two sons, William Barstow of West Virginia, and James (Suzette) Barstow of Alliance, OH, a daughter Rebecca Knapp of Uhrichsville, OH, a sister, Mrs. Judy (Ed) Stanley of Florida, her five grandchildren Mrs. Abbey (Jonas) Byler of Dellroy, Andrew Knapp of Canton, OH, Erika (Noah) Cafaro of Waynesburg, OH, Amanda Barstow of West Virginia, and Trent Barstow of Alliance, OH, her two great-grandchildren Madilyn and Maverick Byler, two step-sons, Dustin (Tammy) Naylor of Gnadenhutten, OH, and Troy Naylor of Dellroy, five step-grandchildren Kris (Bobbi Jo) Naylor of Canton, Mrs. Emma (Marc) Micco of Waynesburg, Drake, Dalton, and Dillon Naylor, and six step-great-grandchildren, Emberly and Charlie Naylor, and Reagan, Logan, Emerson, and Maddie Micco.
Family graveside services will be conducted on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Baxter’s Ridge Cemetery in Harrison Township with Rev. Kenneth Ogg officiating. Interment will follow services. No public calling hours are scheduled, although the family will observe private viewing. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
