A final open house is set for the two Claymont buildings in Dennison that are set for auction on October 21st.
The Intermediate was built in 1927 and features three levels. The Northside building, built in 1960, is single level and features an outside fenced in playground.
Realtor Amy Myers gave school board of education members an update on some interest received.
“Lady from Texas, she wanted to use it for a homeless shelter for veterans and do some art in there. Checked her out [and she] has investors she works with. Calls on the Intermediate. People ask me about the gym.”
Any inquires have also been given the number for the Village of Dennison for due diligence about any zoning requirements. The two locations on N. 3rd Street are currently zones public.
For both buildings, an open house will be Sunday 1 to 3pm. The Wednesday auction is at 6pm. The buildings will also be open one hour prior to the auction.
