Two people were taken to a hospital following a two vehicle crash Monday evening.

Ohio State Highway Patrol New Philadelphia Post Sgt. Bill Bower says troopers responded at 5:40pm to the intersection of State Route 36 and Wolfes Crossing, near Gnadenhutten.

“The vehicle driven by a 35-year-old male from Uhrichsville failed to yield while turning left onto that road and was struck by a vehicle driven by an individual from Dellroy 22-years of age.”

The Dellroy driver and a 24-year-old passenger were transported for serious injuries.

“Smith Ambulance took the driver. Smith ambulance also took the passenger to Mercy Medical Center in Canton.”

The Uhrichsville man was not injured.

“The at fault driver was cited for right of way when turning left, so he was issued a citation.”

OSP was on scene for almost two hours.
