Some details are available surrounding an accidental shooting in New Philadelphia.
Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office records indicate that deputies responded to Orchard Road Tuesday at 3:30pm.
Deputies arrived on scene finding a 62-year-old man in the driveway and their investigation began, explains Detective Captain Adam Fisher.
“Upon further examination, it appears the male had one single gunshot wound to the chest. At this time, the male has been transported to the Cuyahoga County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy to be completed.”
The investigation continues regarding standard bullet trajectory and toxicology results.
Fisher noted that there is no suspected foul play.
