Gwen Rummell Reporting –

The Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board announced updates to the local mental health crisis response system.

SpringVale Health Centers’ new Behavioral Health and Medical Urgent Care Center is set to open in New Philadelphia in early 2024.

ADAMHS Board Executive Director Natalie Bollon commended SpringVale for being a provider for the care center.

“The ADAMHS Board is fundamentally a funder and a developer of services, but it takes our providers in the community to actually make these things happen.”

The center will offer in-person mental health, addiction, and crisis assessments with extended hours, including evenings. It will also provide brief, walk-in counseling sessions, medication, and referral services for adults and children with mental health or addiction needs.

SpringVale is set to release more details soon.
