Take a step back in time to World War II during Steam to Victory 2025.

The Age of Steam Roundhouse is hosting the event this Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

Marketing Coordinator Chad McKinny says there will be military vehicles, living history reenactors, and food vendors.

“The roundhouse already is a 1940’s feel and then when we add the War World II vehicles and bring out the equipment, trains out to the ground, it’s truly like you’re stepping back into the 40’s and War World II.”

McKinney notes that, at the time, steam trains served as transportation for troops and supplies.

“They played a huge part, and we actually have a steam engine at the roundhouse that was built for the war. It never made it oversees but it was here in the United States for the troopers to train on and well after the war was over soldiers still trained on it.”

Gate entry is $5, the roundhouse tour is $15, and to take a train ride it’s $5.

“Go to ageofsteamroundhouse.org to purchase your tickets and it’s simple to go on. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate.

Gates open at 9:30am with the event running from 10am to 5pm. The Roundhouse is located at 213 Smokey Lane Road SW in Sugarcreek.
