A new manufacturing facility will be built in the Village of Newcomerstown helping to foster that region’s economic growth.
Altor Solutions, formerly Plymouth Foam, is a leading manufacture and the new building marks a $23 million investment. The 120,000 square foot facility will be located at the end of Enterprise Drive.
Newcomerstown Mayor Pat Cadle notes that this will create job opportunity contributing to the local economy, but it is also putting the village back on the map since before the interstate was built travelers had to go through town.
“With this, this gives a reason for people to come to downtown, take a look at what we have, and we’re talking to other businesses that are interested in coming in. We’re getting a lot more positive attention because we’ve worked hard at making things better. Out residents are stepping up and doing a great job. It’s one of those things that when good things start happening more good things follow because people do start stepping up.”
Altor Solutions is expected to retain 26 full-time jobs, with three created positions bringing an opportunity for welders, CNC operators, fork truck drivers, and other career paths.
