Anita Gal, 58, of New Philadelphia passed away at the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
She was born on August 5, 1966 to Kenneth Laizure of New Philadelphia and the late Lillian “Sue” Huebner Laizure. Anita was also preceded in death by her former husband, Kenneth W. Snyder.
She had been employed at Signet Jewelers in Akron as a general manager. She was a member of the Burning River Church in Dover, and in her spare time, she enjoyed art and writing in her journal.
Anita is survived by her son, Allek Snyder of New Philadelphia; siblings, Tanja Contini, Erik Brown, Hiedi (Danny) Billiter, Crystal (Marcus) Miller, Adrienne (Robert) Wickham, Michael Brown, Gabriel (Kelly) Brown, Amanda Morris, Laurel Riffle, Serena Brown, Monica (James) Roush, Michelle (Clay) Inherst, Christian Kershbaumer, Mike (Joan) Laizure, Steve Laizure, Denise (Steve) Dulaney, Shirley (Mike) Weaver, Sandy Page and Barry Laizure; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog, Bailey Jane Snyder.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There are no services or calling hours.
