The Claymont Foundation continues to leave a lasting mark on the Twin Cities area.

Representative Cyndy Host says the nonprofit — launched in 1998 to enhance educational excellence across Claymont Schools — has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to high‑school seniors, college students, and Buckeye Career Center students, and more, including over $500,000 in classroom and building grants supporting educational resources and fine and performing arts programs.

Host says that work is possible only because of community support and fundraisers, like this weekend’s annual steak dinner and reverse raffle

The event is Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the American Italian Club in Dennison, with the raffle drawing at 7:30. Tickets are $50, and only 120 will be sold. The top prize is $1,700, and the final five ticket holders can choose to split the pot.

For tickets or details, contact the Twin City Chamber of Commerce or visit the Claymont Foundation’s website or Facebook page.
