The Tuscarawas County Commissioners have an opening to fill.
The three-member board is seeking applicants for county administrator after establishing the position last week.
President Kristen Zemis says most similarly-sized counties in Ohio have one already.
“We’ve got forty buildings to manage, a fleet of vehicles we own and insure, we run our own insurance consortium, we have 850 to 900 employees, and it’s just a big job.”
The annual salary ranges from just under 85-thousand dollars to nearly 135-thousand starting out depending on experience.
Zemis says the position should pay for itself by lowering operating costs and bringing in additional grant dollars.
The job description and other details are posted under the employment opportunities page on the county website. The deadline to apply is this Friday at 4:30 pm.
