The State of Ohio was awarded $85 million in funding under the Capital Projects Fund to support OhioBuilds – Small Communities, Big Impact – A Plan for Appalachia.

According to Senator Al Landis, the Appalachian Community Innovation Centers program will provide investments for eligible projects.

Those able to apply include school district, joint vocational schools, regional councils of government, and other political subdivisions located in the 32 Appalachian counties.

Eligible projects can include new construction, renovation, healthcare services, community access for job related programming, and other that support public education.
