For people looking to unload old tires, today is their last chance to make an appointment for Saturday morning’s Scrap Tire Disposal Day in Newcomerstown.
The Tuscarawas County Health Department is hosting the recycling event at the village’s street department garage, but Community Relations Director Jennifer Demuth says tire drop-off is by appointment only.
There is a limit of 10 tires per person, and they won’t accept semi or tractor tires, or rims. The cost is $1 per tire.
