A short chase occurred Saturday morning, in the 8 o’clock hour. This happened after Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Deputies were serving paper to a home on Elliot Road, in Newcomerstown.
According to records, the home occupant advised that Michael Webb had broken into her home.
The deputy observed the front door shattered and glass on the floor.
Additional deputies were radioed and Webb was observed driving on Post Boy Road. He failed to stop and a pursuit ensued, with Webb being apprehended on Liberty Road.
The 32-year-old is in the Tuscarawas County Jail being held on charges of burglary, which is a felony, and a misdemeanor of failure to comply with an order of a police officer.
