Arrest Made in Burglary Report

Mary Alice Reporting – A 50-year-old is facing a 3^rd-degree felony charge after being apprehended by K9 Onyx.

A burglary in progress call came in for Uhrichsville on April 25^th at 7:30pm, and officers were dispatched to E. Bank Street.

Sgt. Mike Hickman notes that a window was found broken on the side of the residence and a perimeter check was conducted with assistance from the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office and Dennison Police Department.

Officers made entry and after multiple warnings were issued, K9 Onyx searched the home. Michael Howell was found hiding inside a cardboard box in the attic and Onyx apprehended him.

Howell was cleared by Uhrichsville Fire/EMA and was transported to the Tuscarawas County Jail.

He is charged with burglary and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 4^th in the Tuscarawas County Southern District Court.
