Mary Alice Reporting –

An annual event that takes over the side alley of downtown New Philadelphia will return this weekend.

Art on the Alley brings in vendors of artists and crafters to showcase their work and to bring the art and cultural scene to the local area.

City Mayor Joel Day says that the event will be held on Sunday.

“Evolved into one of the biggest arts centered venues and events in eastern Ohio. The Tuscarawas Arts Partnership organizes and stages the event, and Executive Director Wilma Mullet tells me that all vendor spots have been sold out, there will be three stages of entertainment, and of course, food trucks and other food vendors.”

The event will run from 11am to 4pm. Parking will be available in the county lots on 1st Drive NE and 2nd Street NE, and in the city/county lots at 1st Drive and Front Avenue SE.
