Child Support Awareness Month is in August. It is a national recognition of the child support program.

The director of Tuscarawas County Child Support Enforcement Agency, Traci Berry, explains the importance of this month.

“Over 600,000 children in Ohio in the child support program. It’s important that parents are finically responsible for their children. Our program ensures that parents take their responsibility seriously.”

The Tuscarawas County CSEA Facebook page will post videos, facts and resources for families to utilize, over the course of the month. She says the New Philadelphia courthouse will even light up green for a week.

“Ohio statewide wear green day is August 5th and everyone is encouraged to participate.”
