Barbara A. Bachie, age 82, of Dover, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, in New Philadelphia’s Schoenbrunn Healthcare.
Born January 22, 1941, in Zoar, she was a daughter of the late William and Maxine Grove Griesen. Barbara attended school in Bolivar; she was a loving homemaker who particularly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of Barbara’s favorite pastimes were cooking and baking, as well as watching television game shows and the Antiques Roadshow.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Debbie (Kenneth) Long of Gnadenhutten, Tracy (David) Welsch and Laura (James) Rennicker, both of Dover, and Dean (Tonya) Bachie of Callahan, Florida; her eleven grandchildren; and her many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Griesen, and her brothers, Ron and Jerry Griesen.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Thursday, March 16, 10 – 11 a.m. A service will follow at 11 officiated by Rev. David Wing. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park.
