Barbara (Barb) E. Masters, 91, of Port Washington, previously of Chili, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 19, 2023, surrounded by her family at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown. She was born November 4, 1931 in Coshocton County to the late Robert and Helen (Schweitzer) Plants.

Barb spent time doing factory work, but she especially enjoyed her time hauling the Amish. She was a member of the Churches of Christ in Christian Union in Newcomerstown, and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Barb loved making noodles and pies, crocheting, and going on vacation with Wayne and Mary. She enjoyed having Easter egg hunts for the children and she absolutely loved her Cleveland Indians, in which, she never never missed watching a game. She loved her children as well as her special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and all her nieces and nephews. She also loved her church family and friends.

Barb married Ervin J. Masters, who passed away June 23, 2013 after 59 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Sheri Quillin of Port Washington; her son, Raymond (Bobbie) Masters of Orwell; son-in-law, John Avon; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack and Virgil Plants; sisters-in-law, Debi and Shirley Plants; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Eileen Avon; brothers, Laverne, Wayne, and Carl Plants; sister, Betty Rothenstein; sisters-in-law, Jean, Carol, and Mary Plants.

Services for Barb will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Churches of Christ in Christian Union in Newcomerstown with Rev. Sonny Easterday officiating. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 3 to 7 PM at the Churches of Christ in Christian Union in Newcomerstown as well as one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, from 10 to 11 am.
