Barbara L. Hutras, 90, of Dover passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
She was born on November 6, 1931, in Dover and was a daughter of the late James “Carl” and Margaret Ruefly Shaw. Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, William Hutras on February 18, 2022; brothers, Glenn, Kenny, Dick, and Jimmy Shaw; sister, Margaret Ann Bachmeyer.
She, along with her husband, was the co-owners of William Hutras Builders for over 57 years. Barbara was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ at Dover, and the Dover Mother’s Club. She absolutely loved rooting for her beloved Dover Tornadoes, only missing two Dover-Phila games over the years; she was also a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Barbara was a kind and gentle soul who will be sadly missed by her sons, Bill (Susan) Hutras of Dublin, Brian (Linda) Hutras of Dover, Chris (Lynda) Hutras of Granville; grandchildren, Wills, Evan, Natalie, Vanessa, Louis, Jackson, Sophia, Chris, and Peter.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held on Saturday, August 27th starting at 4:00 pm with Pastor Jill Lovett officiating. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday
