Mary Alice Reporting –

A barn is a total loss following an early Wednesday blaze on Frys Valley Road.

Arrowhead Joint Fire District was toned out just before 2am, and upon arrival, found heavy flames showing through the roof of a 1 ½ story barn that was about 20 feet from the home.

In a release, from Chief Steven Wright, the owners were able to verify no one in the structure and most of the livestock had been evacuated.

The barn collapsed and is a loss. The house sustained moderate heat damage to some siding.

The blaze was under control within 15 minutes, but firefighters were on scene for about two hours due to hot spots.

An investigation into a cause is ongoing.
