Buckeye Career Center is giving prospective students a firsthand look at their future this week, welcoming nearly 1,200 area sophomores for its annual visitation days.
Marketing Coordinator Shyanne Carroll says students will rotate through five labs of their choice, getting hands-on experience and hearing from instructors and current students about the more than 30 programs offered at Buckeye. The week culminates Thursday, November 5th with a community open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Students and their families can tour the building, meet instructors, and learn more about the programs.
The open house also marks the opening of applications for the next school year.
The event is open to the entire community, not just prospective students, and will include a complimentary meal as Buckeye celebrates its 50th anniversary.
