Mary Alice Reporting –

February is Career-Technical Education (CTE) Month and Buckeye Career Center is recognizing the benefits if this type of education.

Accessible to every high school student in Ohio, CTE offers a variety of career fields, spanning agriculture/environmental studies, arts and communication, business, law, and others.

BCC has over 30 programs available for their nearly 1,000 high school students currently enrolled and this month’s recognition emphasizes the need for technical education facilities, says Superintendent Bob Alsept.

“Across the state of Ohio, career technical education is seen as very important to our existing businesses and being able to attract new ones to the state.”

At Buckeye, high school and adult classes are open for the 2024-25 school year. Applications and more details can be found at www.BuckeyeCareerCenter.org.
