Mary Alice Reporting –
A trial date is scheduled in New Philadelphia Municipal Court related to a short pursuit and operating a vehicle while under the influence.
Ohio State highway Patrol Troopers with the New Philadelphia Post spotted Christopher Foraker, of East Sparta, driving on State Route 800, on July 19th, around 4:20am.
That roadway stretch is designated as a 55mph zone, but Foraker was checked at 93mph. He refused to pull over and a short pursuit took place before he wrecked into a guardrail near Zoar.
Impairment indicators were observed, and Foraker refused a field sobriety test and later a breath test.
He is charged with failure to comply, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, driving under suspension, OVI refusal, and operating a vehicle while under the influence.
His bench trial is sent for August 8th, at 2pm.
