Benny Alvin Affolter, age 62, of Dover, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
Born January 26, 1962, in Dennison, Benny was the son of the late Elmer and Neva Jean (Page) Affolter.
Benny was employed at Ember Health Care. He enjoyed cat fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, ginseng hunting and anything that pertained to the outdoors. Benny could catch a fish in a mud puddle.
On September 16, 2016, Benny married Julie (Link) Affolter, who survives of the home. Also surviving is his son D. B. Piccin and four daughters Jenny (Christopher) Dallas, Janelle (Adam) Cutright, Jill May and Jessica May; siblings Tena (Jim) West, Barb (Bob) Colvin, Karen (Steve) Morris, Pink (Karl) Hoop, Becky Bennington, Jimbo Affolter, Bob (Donna) Affolter; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and Ben and Julie’s dogs Banjo and Molly.
In addition to his parents, Benny is preceded in death by his siblings Elmer “Jeep” Affolter, Cathy Menefee, John “Smoke” Affolter, Bill Affolter, Angel Affolter, Libby Wright, Richard Affolter and Jill Affolter.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
