Bessie L. Richardson, age 86, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, Friday, September 29, 2023, while under the care of Community Hospice in The Truman House.
Born February 23, 1937, at Dover, Bessie was the only child to the late Joseph and Helen (Shook) Fanti.
On August 9, 1958, she married George Edward Richardson. Together they shared 43 years of marriage, before his passing in February of 2002.
Bessie loved to play online games and spend time with her cats, Callie and Gizzy.
She is survived by her children, Mark Richardson of Bolivar, Larry “Ernie” Richardson of New Philadelphia, and Robert Richardson of Tuscarawas County; grandchildren, Joseph Richardson, Monte Richardson, and John C. Richardson; and several great-grandchildren.
Bessie is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The family will greet guests of Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 10:30 -11:30 AM in the Linn-Hert- Geib Funeral and Crematory at New Philadelphia where Father Jeff Coning will lead a service celebrating Bessie’s life at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
